Oh happy day (not)

Well, I had heard rumors, but I chose to "trust". Haha.
We had been told that if there were going to be layoffs, everyone involved would have 6 months' notice.

Not so.

My last day of work at my full time job is January 29.

I'm bummed, relieved, scared, excited....about every emotion a person could feel.

But they offered to pay me for today if I want to take the day off.

So that's what I'm gonna do.

And I think I'll pray a little, too.

I am so sorry to hear that. I myself have been out of work since September. It's tough and I've had to find odd jobs to pull through till I can get a regular job. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Well, unemployment is better since the economy collapsed. Is that something? I'm so sorry. Looking for work totally sucks. Keep your hopes up, you never know what might happen.

Oh...gads. You can get unemployment right? You still have your other job so that's good. Maybe you can find something closer to home now. I know how hard it is getting something in a rural area...I will do some praying for you too.

That's horrible. I'll be praying for you. Is there any way your part-time job can become a full-time job?

Hello. I've been reading your blog for quite a while and have commented one other time. I find your blog very touching. You never seem to give up and your love for your family always shines through. I have an elderly mother and also deal with mental health issues(depression among others)on a daily basis. I know how hard it can be to hang in there. I'm sorry to see that another hurdle has been placed in front of you. Losing your job is horrible. I really hope that you find an even better one. One that will not only help you financially, but also bring joy to your heart. Good luck...Clarissa in California

Carol,
How scary that must be yet, it must be such a relief as well.I wish you lived near me. Here I need help with no one to trust and you'll need a job. I would totally split my hours with you because I know I could trust you.

Of course, I'm dreaming for both of us :-)

Something good is coming your way. It just has to. *hugs*

PS. Sorry I haven't been around, still waiting for my replacement computer.
